Welcome to FCA Volleyball!

The vision of FCAV is to honor God in the ways that we practice, compete, coach, and interact with one another. We are a club that is characterized by excellence in the effort we give, our love for each other, and service to our community.

While FCAV's aim is to compete at the highest levels, our hope is to serve you, the athlete and parent, by keeping costs to a minimum. It's because of the generosity of many who financially support the ministry of FCA that this is possible. A special thanks to Eastpoint Church and the Point Community Center for helping to make FCAV a reality.

2025-26 CLUB SEASON INFORMATION

PRACTICES:

All practices during the season will be on Sundays (1-3pm) and Wednesdays (6-8pm) at The Point Community Center in South Portland. Practices start, Sunday 11/30/2025. We will usually try to reserve the gym on a night prior to the start of practices to let the players get to know each other.

Club Costs include 2 different categories:

• Club Fee: includes facility rental fee, coaches honorariums and travel costs, uniform package, equipment, administration, & regional tournament fees.
• Membership Fees: includes USAV/NERVA/AAU membership fees.

TRYOUT & TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Tryouts are free and will be held Saturday, 8/9/25, 9:30 am -12 pm (for the 18s team), at The Point - 345 Clark's Pond Parkway, South Portland. Parent meeting starting at 9:15 am. The cost you see when registering for tryouts, is the cost of the program and will only be due upon acceptance of a spot on one of the teams.

All athletes should arrive dressed in appropriate athletic attire and bring their own water bottles.

TEAMS & COST:

The teams that we actually have depend on the crop of players we have at tryouts. Below is an idea of what to expect.

Club Costs include 3 different categories:

• Club Fee: includes facility rental fee, coaches honorariums and travel costs, uniform package, equipment, administration, & regional tournament fees.
• USA Volleyball Membership and Insurance: annual charge of $60 per player-Mandatory for tryouts.
• AAU Athlete Membership: $22 (Not needed for tryouts. Purchase after acceptance to team)

• March 6-8, Boston National Qualifier
• March 28 or 29, 2026 (AAU Week #3) - Fitchburg, Hanover, Westford or Boston MA
• April 4, SMCC Home Tournament* - South Portland
• April 11-12, AAU The April Challenge - Marlborough MA
• April 25 and 26, 2026 (AAU Week #4) 2-Day FINALS*-Mohegan Sun CT, Fitchburg or Boston MA

• May 2 and 3, 2025 (AAU Week #4) 2-Day FINALS* - Mohegan Sun CT

Expenses associated with travel (hotel stays, food, parking) are not included in club dues.
